“Wild” arrived in the Kelly country in his 20’s, and married Brigit Lloyd. He served extensive time in prison for offences relating to horses. The ‘1876’ inscribed on the right of the image refers to a famous boxing match between “Wild” and Ned Kelly upon Kelly’s release from Beechworth Prison.
