One of the featured pieces in The Cullen's collection, this piece comes from the Ned Kelly series by Adam Cullen.
The Siege of Glenrowan (26th - 28th June 1880) was the result of an unsuccessful plan by the Kelly gang (Joe Byrne, Steve Hart, Dan Kelly and Ned Kelly) to derail a train carrying police. Here the artist pays particular attention to Ned Kelly’s legendary suit of armour. Cullen is fascinated by the Kelly Gang’s proclivities for cross dressing and describes the suit of armour as a kind of “steel lingerie”.
The original artwork was created by Cullen in 2008. Please note, this is an unsigned and unlimited Cullen print.
This print is a digital archival fine art limited edition.
