CULLEN, Adam

Constable Fitzpatrick with Ned Kelly in his Night Attire - Print

Regular price $1,430

One of the featured works in The Cullen’s collection, the original artwork was produced by Adam Cullen in 2008. In this painting we see a careworn Ned Kelly (indicated by the pronounced lines around his eyes) confronted in the middle of the night by an officious constable. The conflict between the two figures is accentuated by the contrasting colours used. Constable Fitzpatrick features in the Ned Kelly story as the policeman who arrived at the Kelly house to arrest Dan Kelly on charges of stealing on the 15th April 1878.

This piece is digital archival fine art limited edition.
